Briefing

The CBA Briefing service is a comprehensive round-up of archaeological events, fieldwork, exhibitions and conferences and is one of the ways we encourage archaeology for all.

In order to encourage wider access to information, excavation and non-commercial events, advertising in CBA Briefing is free of charge. Briefing is published six times a year as part of the British Archaeology magazine in February, April, June, August, October and December.

Briefing deadline

Tell us about your conferences and excavations before 9pm 10 September 2014 and we'll include them in the next issue of CBA Briefing available online and printed in British Archaeology magazine issue 139 (Nov/Dec 2014) available in shops from Friday 10 October 2014. Send details as plain text within an email to CBA Briefing. Due to space it is not always possible to include all events within the printed magazine, but all events received will be included in Briefing online. Please note that the Briefing office will be closed between Friday 18 and Monday 28 July, for any urgent enquiries please contact the CBA Office.

For contacts such as societies, units and universities, please see the CBA Guide to UK Archaeology Online or Training Online Resource Centre (TORC). To keep up-to-date with contemporary archaeological news and events, visit the CBA News and Archaeology Latest pages.

For fieldwork opportunities abroad you can subscribe to Archaeology Abroad: The Guide to Archaeological Fieldwork Opportunities outside the UK for £20.
